Close Range Data -- June 19, 1998
The image to the left displays what the sensor "sees" and gives an indication of the percent cover of the corn canopy.
No signs of moisture stress were apparent.
The graph below displays a portion of the second set of data, acquired on June 19, 1998. Corn height is approximately 19-20 inches (V8). The IFOV of the sensor is 60 inches and was positioned 19 feet above the canopy. Sky conditions were clear with some haze low on the horizon.
In comparison with the curve from June 2, reflectance in the near-infrared range (700-1000 nm) has increased, with a sharp slope beginning at 700 nm. Reflectance in the visible range (400-700 nm) has decreased, however a more pronounced "bump" in green reflectance (500-600 nm) is apparent.
