The meadow on White Horse Ranch near Naper where the Thompsons raised and trained their beautiful American Albino horses. Boyd County is about 75 percent rich, tillable soil, and the rest ideal for grazing. The virgin prairie consisted of little and big bluestem, grama, needlegrass, buffalo and wheat grass.
