Wilderness Park Study Site. Salt Creek unchannelized at this time.
Oak Lake Study Site. Salt Creek is channelized in
this area. This study site is before the cities sewage treatment center.
27th and Cornhusker (Super Saver) Study Site. Salt
Creek is channelized in this area. The study site is down flow from the cities
sewage treatment facility. The cities treated sewage drainage can be easily seen
dumping into the Salt Creek.
Highway 77 near Interstate I-80 intersection. Salt Creek is
channelized in this area. Old creek beds can be seen on the right side of this
image.
Salt Creek a few miles west of Ashland. Ashland
Country Club can be seen in the lower right corner of the image. Severe channeling
is occurring in this area. Old river scars can be seen all over this image.
Ashland Study Site. Salt Creek is channelized in this area.
The creek is seen dumping into the Platte River. The study site is just south of
Highway 6 where the big sand bar can be seen. This site will contain contaminants
from the watershed that have built up throughout the creek's travels through Lincoln,
Waverly, Ashland, and then dumping into the Platte River.
